Without even leaving the grounds of Vista Alegre you can choose to rock in a hammock while the scent of rosemary and pine lull you to slumber or grab your binoculars and make tracks to the nature trail in the ravine. All to the background of distant chiming bells courtesy of the local goat herds.

The grounds have been maintained as natural pasture, aside from the landscaped area surrounding the south-facing 15x5 metre floodlit pool (which includes a toddler pool). The pool area not only has unbroken sun all day but unparalleled views over the olive groves to the national park beyond.

Decorated in Moorish style with a cantilevered roof, the adjacent summer house provides welcome shade. It also incorporates a changing room with shower and toilet facilities along with a luxurious lounging area with minibar and music system. A traditional brick barbecue at the edge of the pine forest allows an alfresco dining and cooking experience.
